Last show of the year 2009 was Luton. Our judge was Carl Miller Feorlig, I only took Eula and she was 2nd in puppy behind the eventual puppy group winner, she was also 2nd in the puppy stakes where she won £5. We'd like to wish Helen good luck in the challenge for best puppy in show tomorrow with Luke, Trimere Transistion to Carlyquinn.

Yesterday, we travelled to Slough for the Wealdstone and Northholt show and it was FREEZING!!! I had Eula entered in puppy and graduate in an attempt to get some Junior Warrent points, but alas she was beaten in both classes. Isla however flew the Woodspa flag by being declared Best of Breed. Our judge was Ramsey Nagerty who has Gordon Setters. Tomorrow I am off to Luton Canine Society show with Just Eula, Isla has not been entered and just as well as she is now in season, so will miss the next few shows.
Isla's critique, liver & white bitch, good head, strong brow and low set ears long and sillky with plenty of feathering. Excellent forechest and shoulders, short coupled well ribbed up, strong loin, adequate bend of stifle, moved very well, would benifit from a little less weight. (wouldn't we all??)

Guildford & District was the show for today. The girls had another good day, with Eula winning Best Puppy in breed and Isla winning her Open class. Our judge today was Teresa Dunsden (Seaspring). Our weather, like so many other places has been decidedly wintery with about 6 inches of snow falling over night on Thursday. As I was not able to get out the dogs didn't get a walk, but yesterday we managed to get them to a local country park where they had a great time. I have added some photo's to the gallery and also a couple of new photo's to the owners gallery, of Toby and Harvey.
Eula's Critique: 9 month L/W bitch, pretty head, kind expression, good lengh of neck, well constructed front, excellent depth of chest for age, compact body, moderate bend of stifle, level topline, correct tailset, moved steadily.
Isla's Critique: L/w bitch eyecatching for type and presentation, feminine head, good front angulation, excellent depth of chest, well sprung ribs, compact body, short coupled, just needs a tad more angulation in hindquarters to balance front. Level topline, lively mover.

Last night was ringcrafts Dog of the Year, this is a match where all the years winners compete for the title of Dog of the Year. The winner this year was a lovely Tibetan Terrier, and Eula was declared Reserve Dog of the Year, which was lovely.
Not much else going on and no more shows until later in the month.
